What Can I Expect from Long Island Acting's programs?
Depending on the program, students will learn all about acting, filmmaking and podcasting. They will be introduced to different acting techniques, many technical aspects of filmmaking, behind-the-scenes jobs, film genres, improv, and commercial/hosting techniques. Programs are composed of warmups, presentations, and hands-on activities such as performing monologues, filming podcasts, and more. Students will leave the classes with professional photos and videos, and sharper public speaking, teamwork, and technical skills.
Do I need to have prior experience to participate?
No! We are welcoming a wide age range, and any level of experience is accepted. Everyone in our classes will be given moments of one-on-one attention based on where they need/want to improve.
Where are the classes held?
All of Long Island Actings classes, workshops, and private lessons are held at Garden City New York Media Studios. The address is 739 Franklin Ave. Garden City, NY 11530.
What if I am running late to pick up my child for class?
Call or Text Vanessa Velazquez, Program Coordinator, at (516) 373-1515 Ext. 709. Be sure to leave a message.
